The assignment
Jade Lilly photographed guests inside Paul Hill’s When I Close My Eyes installation for a private Microsoft experience. The activation invited guests to enter the artist’s visual world and leave with portraits that connected them to the environment.
Jade’s role
Jade served as the activation photographer, directing guests and documenting their interaction with the installation. Installation and set design by Paul Hill.

Guest experience
Guests became part of the installation through the portrait experience. Jade photographed each person in relationship to the artwork, preserving both the individual presence of the guest and the atmosphere of Paul Hill’s environment.
