The assignment

For MOCAD’s reopening, Jade Lilly created a fiber garden anchored by a cascading textile waterfall. Inspired by nature and its elements, the installation transformed part of the museum into an imaginative landscape guests could enter, explore and become part of a living painting.

Jade’s role

Jade led the concept, creative direction, textile design, fabrication, installation, activation photography, set up and breakdown.

What was created

  • Creative concept and visual direction
  • Large scale fiber garden and textile waterfall installation
  • Fabrication, installation, and breakdown
  • On site activation photography
  • Portrait ready guest experience

Guest experience

Guests stepped into a dreamlike interpretation of nature shaped through fiber, color, movement, and texture. As they moved through the garden and waterfall, they were no longer simply viewing the installation; their presence completed the composition, turning each moment and portrait into part of the painting.
