Immersive Textile Installations

Fiber as architecture,
invitation, and map.

Jade transforms yarn into portals, sculptural environments, and participatory installations that invite people to move through, touch, question, and contribute.

An evolving practice spanning textile portals, tufted works, fiber maps, and participatory installations. Every piece is designed, fabricated, and installed by the studio.

Textile Portals

Arches and panels poured in yarn, built on frames that stand on their own. A portal is a threshold: you walk through it, and the room on the other side is a different room. The Portals are an ongoing body of work, not set pieces. Each one carries the questions of the practice, where you are and where you are going, into a new space.

Portals Shapeshifting

The same portal can be a red room for a family portrait, a blue world with clouds, or a green wall on turf. That adaptability is a practical benefit for commissions: the pieces come apart, change color and height, and stand again in a marble hall, a white gallery, a wooden deck, or a stand of trees.

Tufted Pieces

Hand tufted shapes that behave like paintings and feel like blankets. Organic forms in high pile, hung on the wall or set on a plinth, usually shown against her fringe so the room reads as one piece of work.

The Cartography of Curiosity

A participatory fiber experience and her first solo exhibition. Visitors wander through textile portals, reflect on where they are, and add their own story to the map. The fiber map is drawn in yarn straight onto the wall, arcs and blocks of color installed by hand from a ladder, and it grows with every story added.

First solo exhibition · September 12 to 20, 2026 · Detroit
