The assignment
For a January welcome dinner honoring Clay in Detroit, Jade Lilly transformed the venue into a layered environment for conversation, dining, and portrait making. Textile portals, soft draping, florals, table décor, stage design, and a dedicated photo activation moment brought the entire room into one visual world.

Jade led the concept development, creative direction, full space design, table décor, stage design, textile elements, floral styling, installation, photo activation design, and activation photography.

Guest experience
The dinner brought guests together to welcome Clay to Detroit and hear about @blackfoodfolks. The design moved from the tables to the stage and photo moment, surrounding the gathering with color, texture, and warmth while giving guests a purposeful place to connect and be photographed.
